Late again

Just like half of my blog entries so far, this is yet another apology for taking too long on my serials.

I'd tried to get back to weekly updates to keep my handful of readers satisfied, and managed to do it a couple of times, but I just can't keep up the pace. I've bought a new house, (it was a slightly scary time to get a mortgage, possibly not ideal) and getting ready to move is taking most of my free time and energy. I'm a couple of pages away from finishing Stephanie's latest episode, (featuring her birthday party with her boyfriend and a bunch of girls from her former Sunday School class going to the movies to see "Enchanted" - doing the research for this chapter was fun!) but I'm only five paragraphs into Part 13 of Oscar, although I do have a rough outline. (I plan to get through to when D. can leave the house to learn how to interact with people as a woman.) I'd expect to post Stephanie's Deal Episode 14 by Friday of this week at the latest, and Oscar Night part 13 could be next week at the earliest, but don't hold your breath. (Unless you just want to practice holding your breath for some reason, but be careful.)

On a side note, a special shout-out of appreciation to Stanman63 for excellent work at finding errors in previous chapters of Oscar Night.

What!? Aren't we paying you enough?

Good luck with the new house, and the move... yikes! Don't wear yourself out.

I'll be glad to see the episodes whenever they appear.

And... mistakes? There were mistakes?

Congratulations on the New House

I don't envy you having to move though. While there's considerable incentive to be ruthless and shed stuff that you don't need, there's always still way too much stuff to move. It's been 19 years since our last move, and I had all but given up on trying to manage the accumulation of "stuff". I have made a bit of progress since I retired earlier this year, but still have way too much that I don't need.

Good luck with your move. We'll wait semi-patiently for the next chapters.

Pooh. Late, shmate

We don't punch time clocks around here. This is a place for us to share good things with each other. You can forget about any feelings of guilt, since there is no time schedule to begin with.

I am very much looking forward to more Oscar, and whenever chapters are ready to be published will be fine. I tried Stephanie's Deal, and would like it except it seems a bit too young for my personal tastes. A lovely story, though, and well written.

P.S. Congrats on the new house. Normally a stressful event, but it will soon be in the past, and for now you can start nesting, yay. :-)
