although reading it there is certainly scope for more!

Yep, hindsight is a wonderful thing, clearly my little dabble into SF ranks as 'unfinished' but to be fair, I had originally intended to write a follow on book which I never did. Let me know what you think but do read Part 7 first!

And talking of writing, I did do a little bit up in Yorkshire, the start of a new short story which I will be posting on my Patreon page as well as more from my ongoing biography. I'm also working up another, slightly more involved short, I seem to have a nit of Mo even if the Jo is a bit slow in arriving! Thank you to all those supporting me through Patreon, every little counts and it acts as an incentive for me to put the metaphoric pen to paper.

Of course, since the weekend I've had a busy time of things. On Monday I ended up spending a couple of hours pruning trees at my dad's place before embarking on the long and wet coach journey back to Brizzle. Special thanks to Bev for picking me up at the bottom, I hadn't been looking forward to a cold, wet and dark walk to the bus then back to the house, one little bit! Proper Sunday dinner?

Tuesday was of course ride day so i headed out for a shortish (well just over 100km) local bumble which was enough given the strong blustery winds. I have lost a bit of ground on my year's target but I'm sure I'll make that up and more over the next few rides.

Today, thats Wednesday, I started early with a mountain of laundry (the Ebay stuff was a load on its own!), a wash and lube of the bike which was then followed by a convoluted shopping trip. Into the city first then out into the 'burbs for lunch and some food, however I still failed to get what I set out for - a new duvet cover. Oh well, another try on Friday, the threadbare one on my bed will last that long I'm sure.

Tomorrow i'm planning on getting back into more solid riding, the weather is looking reasonably mild but I think it might be long sleeves, it can't be far away that i'll need to break out the thermals and winter gloves. Whilst I'll avoid going out in the wet if possible, the cold of autumn and winter are doable and as I run mudguards on at least one bike all the time, even wet isn't a disaster. Friday will be a visit to the Swedish shop for that duvet cover and Saturday is looking like a long ride out to the east.

That's about it for now,
Tak

Conclusion?

What'd I miss? It seems to end with them trying to find their way into a university nearly 100 years in their future in order to find a way to go back to the distant past with better weapons.

I'm not sure that I care whether they succeed in getting back there or end up in the 2110 penal system. But IMO there really needs to be some closure here before there's any talk of a follow-up book.

I'm aware

that the ending is a can of worms but tbh, I wasn't sure where to take it, you'll be the first to know if i find that out.
