Life is currently proceeding slowly here. Silly me, I forgot to wear a mask when mowing my back yard last week. The dust and pollen I stirred up gave me a persistent case of bronchitis. The Canadian smoke isn't bad in this area, but is adding to the ozone and continuing pollen attack. I feel for the two crews putting on roofs in my neighborhood.

Fortunately, the lack of rain means the grass isn't very high yet, except in a couple of places. Hopefully, I won't have to mow again for a while.

I'm still coughing, and still hoarse, and dealing with recalcitrant retailers by phone. So, not a lot of writing is getting done. However, I am making progress.

Alternative to lawn

Through a long regime of neglect my family managed to turn our lawn into a moss matt. We did not regret that. No mowing needed, felt nice to walk on with bare feet, less allergic problems for me and my father, and it stayed green much longer than our neighbours', well-mowed, lawns during dry summers.

Hope you get better soon. Persistent coughing can be rather exhausting.

Take care of yourself.
Hoping for some rain to help those fires around my parts.
Hoping for rain in your parts to bring all those contaminants down your side.
