I finally made the last payment on my credit card today! Shortly after going full time I had something like $16,000 of credit card debt, but as of today it is $0! ^_^ I've been working hard towards this for a long time, so I'm very happy! Especially since it means all the money I was putting on my credit card can now go towards paying off my car loan. And once that's paid off (which won't take too long, now), I can finally start saving up for surgery!
That's still a while off yet, probably a couple years or so, but it's a step in the right direction.
The delay, while I get the money together, for surgery has often caused me to get depressed, so every step I take is a big help. Having that big debt between me, and even starting to save up the money for surgery, often seemed an almost insurmountable obstacle. Now, it doesn't look so bad.
Hmm, I guess that's all I wanted to say. I'm just in a good mood now and wanted to share. ;)

Congrats. I'm sure it wasn't easy to pay all that off. The interest rates are so high on many credit cards here in the U.S. that they should have to call it "The Vig".

I've had the same credit card for 14 years now, myself, and I've watched them progressively raise the minimum payment, and the interest was something like 24% at one point, despite my never once missing a payment.
Also, many happy congrats Saless! That is a HUGE step indeed! *hugs*
