Does anyone know why crystal hall is down?

I realise

But it was back for a short while and I thought someone had restored the service.

Some whateley stories

Cliff some of the earlier whateley stories are on sapphires place. Theres about 15 or 20 stories there a few of them are complete so to speak.

Server move

The servers were picked up by Piper earlier this week, who set about physically transporting them half way across the country to their new location. I'm guessing she hasn't had chance to get them up and running in their new location yet.

There are, however, a group of keen Whateley fans who are keeping a close eye on announcements both here and elsewhere, and update the Whateley Academy Wiki whenever there's anything to report on.

In a separate development, Warren is working on a new look site. However, as his time to play around with Whateley is very limited, don't expect it anytime soon - next year would probably be more likely than this.

Severe Weather in New York/Pennsylvania area

Crystal Hall and Stardust were left running on a machine at Bob's while we did the server transfer. It appears that that server is done due to interrupted power to Bob's. It may require someone going over there and throwing a switch. But in any case, we should have those sites back up soon as we get servers up and running to move them to.

Hugs,
Erin

Crystal Hall

They went down on Monday, at about the time Piper pulled the other servers out. I assumed they were in the truck with the rest of the gear.

In any case, as mittfh said, the home page on the Whateley wiki is the only place we know of that doesn't require a login to access. Nor does it require a login to update... (hint, hint).

At least one of us will post to it as soon as we see the sites up again.

Actually erin

Actually erin crystal hall went down about the time piper started moving the servers cause stardust was up and running still up to the other day about midday. Not that it matters I just felt like saying something as I'm awaiting both to be back online as both are 2 of my fav sites along with this wonderful site.

Because of some serious

Piper's picture

Because of some serious headaches, including some of the servers reporting drive errors when we were pulling data @ Bobs, we pulled more servers than we originally planned. On top of this, We are working with a time crunch as we don't want to pay for another month's worth of T1, and we also don't want to pay for another 30days of servers located in multiple data centers.

At this moment, I'm working on recreating much of the DNS server data and pointing it to various places, and also testing out our NEW NEW servers so that I can get the hardware shipped to colorado.

So the list of what I need to do reads like this: I need to recreate some data, duplicate others. I need to prepare 4 new 1U servers for being shipped to Colorado, I need to prepare sites on QnEZ.Net/Org (Joyce's Servers in California) to be moved to the new servers, and I need to start moving Bob's stuff from Where it is now, to one of several other servers, only to be moved again a little bit later.

On top of everything else, I'm faced with the fact that in about a month possibly as long as 2, I will need to find a new place to live.

I'm working as fast as I can, but this isn't going to go as smooth as we hoped.

all very understandable.

I for one can be quite patient, as long as BCTS doesn't go down ;P

Just kidding, honest. If BCTS also goes down at some point for a short time while I'm home and not at work I'll just play some video games, or maybe log onto my Crunchyroll anime account I haven't touched in half a year.

Or, *gasp*, do some work around the house. It does need it...
