Well, I'm going to be stuck in boy mode tonight, as my daughter and I will be going over to my brother's place and helping them trim the tree. It was really nice of them to think of inviting my daughter, so I'll keep the girl stuff to a minimum.

Keep in the car a purse with a stack of makeup panties and pantyhose. Will probably help when it becomes a bit much.

But for you ill will write this.

Dorothy is nervous very nervous. It has been a long time since she has tried to present to the world as a boy. It feels strange to not have something sticking out infront of her. The annoyingly uncomfortable shoes and pants are making walking difficult. Her young daughter's hand gives hers a squeeze for reassurance. She is dressed so pretty it almost brings tears to her eyes.

The walkway up to her brothers house is not really all that long but it feels like it is miles long. She utters under her breath I can do this I can do this.

Taking the final steps to the door she presses that button that looks so simple and harmless but signals a terrifying moment to her. In the car is her purse with emergency supplies and in the trunk is a bag of normal clothes that she wishes she could have worn.

The door opens slowly to the sight of an undecorated real pine tree. As she puts her foot forward there is a blinding flash.

Dorothy enters the house of her brother hugging her sister in law careful to not mess her makeup nor the makeup of her sister in law. She removes her heels carefully and puts on the tender tootsie slippers she removed from her purse. Her long fur coat is removed from her revealing her festive red dress with gold embroidery and the her little Christmas angel necklace. Her loving brother of many years gives her a hug and says she is beautiful and leads her and her similarly dressed daughter to the tree. He opens the box of family heirlooms and lets Dorothy hang the first frosted glass bulb on the tree.

It is the best Christmas ever for Dorothy. Unnoticed to all in the house is the slight jingle of bells and the muffled sound of deep laughs and a whip.

May this christmas jingle bring you happyness to last the long night. Hugs.

this is an amazing little story, Tels.

Once I stop crying, I might be able to say something profound about it. For right now, all I can say is "Thank you."
