Still not getting much writing done. But I am trying to get back into shape.

As part of this, I'm trying to put in more time on the bike.

Which leads me to the annual Pedalpalooza event here in Portland. Three plus weeks of bike related events.

One of the odder ones is the Portland segment(s) of the annual World Naked Bike ride. This year there are actually 5 naked rides. 3 daytime, one evening, and the biggie, the nighttime ride.

The first day ride and the evening ride were on Saturday the 9th. I actually participated in the day ride. A first for me.

And Saturday I did the biggie. In fact, I'm in a couple of the official pics! Not that you can tell. :-)

I and my friend Fay are in pic #2 (a dark vaguely human shaped blob and a white one, respectively)

And I'm almost recognizable in pic #14.

Hey, I'm researching for a future Morgan chapter. You believe that, right?

Anyway, I'm still way out of shape but I did complete both rides and wasn't anywhere near the back of the pack in either.

Definitely need more bike time though. My heart rate takes *forever* to recover.

No ideas for any new Just A Normal Girl vignettes. And very little progress on Morgan or any of my other stalled stories. *sigh*

I may try making the Summer Dresses ride on the 24th if any of you are in Portland then.

I'm here in Portland.

My roomate is all ga ga over the peddle palooza rides. I like to ride but am not athletic nor competitive. Riding is much more fun since I took off my mid range tyres and put on 28 mm tyres and can keep them at 100lbs. It seems that I have picked up 3 or 4 gears as a result.

PM me if you'd like to meet up for a ride or something.

Still struggling

Wonder how you, Angharad, and Maddy Bell would fare if you three were in the same event.

I'd be dead last.

Or picking up the stragglers in more dignified terms. :)

I dunno.

While have kept up in group rides, I'd drop out in a hurry if there are hills involved.

So you and I might be vying for last.
