Working on it

The server seems to be hung, we're checking to see why.

Secondary server and sites (and search on BC) back up

Still not sure what took it down, maybe Piper can figure it out later.

There was a lot of spam fouling Stardust the last time I checked

This was this last weekend I believe.

Hope you had a chance to clean it up.

I wonder if it was much of the problem, the bandwidth hogs!

I should have wrote you about it.

Sorry, Erin.

it all seems to work

except for Crystal Hall. Different server?

Yeah, early this evening I

Yeah, early this evening I quit getting a timeout error. Now I just get a blank page.

Oh, the forums!

I've checked the Crystal Hall dot org site/page several times. Pulled up a story at random and skimmed the details, no problem. But I finally realized you were talking about the forum/chat areas. Personally I never think about those due to the extremely high noise to signal ratio. Last time I tried to report a problem there with a bad storylink, Warren went all ballistic and chewed out me and another person who'd been trying to report the same problem. Turns out he never even bothered to check to see if our reports might be valid. He was the almighty site master and he knew we were wrong, wasn't any reason to check.

When he finally found out for himself that there WAS a problem, he fixed it and then bragged to all how he'd find the problem and fixed it, but never offered any apology to the two of us. So I don't go there and don't much care if it ever gets fixed. I just read the stories.

So you might want to make sure the trouble shooters understand what you actually mean when you say the Crystal Hall is down, as IT isn't.

Well, I look at Fanfiction,

Well, I look at Fanfiction, fanfiction discussion, and author's corner (just for one story) and ignore the rest.

Since I *write* fanfic (and beta for one of the other fanfic authors) those being down is rather important.

I only check the main page twice a week to see if there are any new canon stories.

Oh, btw, without the forums (or chat, which is also down) how exactly *am* I supposed to inform the maintainers of anything?

There's no email contact link on the main page.

Crystal Hall Forum

seems to be down now at least for me.

Yeah, the forums of crystal

Yeah, the forums of crystal hall simply bring up a blank page for me, as well. 0954 GMT-6 06/21/12

Crystal Hall forums should be back up now

And the chat is down because the link on the site is obsolete, it's still pointing at one of Bob's servers. Piper has sent the information to change the link to Diane.
