I was laid of in Jan 2011 and have tried to find work without much success but thats the case all over the country,I did sign on with up with several employment agencies but have had approx 26 days of work to date.
With only my Army pension I found it difficult to pay the bills and ended up being evicted on 23 April this year so I am living in a tent along with my dogs somewhere on the Pennines.
The weather over the last few months has been terrible with all the rain and high winds but what the hell, I haven't got anyone elses problems to deal with now and i'm actually enjoying the quiet life going for long walks with my tow dogs.
I do have a couple of stories on the go and haven't updated them since my eviction but, I now have a new laptop and hope to continue with them in the near future once I remember where I'm up to with them.
For those of you who have been following these stories please bear with me a bit longer, I apologise for not answering all the messages I have received but there aren't many trees that you can plug into around here.

As they say in the movies "I'm Back"

I wouldn't know about being homeless. In fact, I won't even be able to imagine how it feels to be homeless. I still have parents who loves me and won't allow me to live on the streets, despite how useless I am at times. Well, I'm useless most of the time actually. Besides, if I did get kicked out of my parent's house, I can always just squat in that other house my parents owned that nobody lives in.

The fact that I cannot imagine being homeless makes it a rather terrible thing in my opinion (I dream not of unicorns and pegasi, but of demons and scary rodent critters). I'm thinking of quitting my job actually, but now I'm having second thoughts. But I'm going off track.

Anyhow, hope to see you writing again soon.

All of my prayers are with you and your fur friends.

Having been there and just recovering I have some understanding of the challenges you are facing. It can be difficult but you do have the correct view in finding the good in your situation, and staying positive. All of my families prayers are being sent to you for your adventure and yes I am looking forward to your continued writing.

The only bad question is the one not asked.

Trees lacking plugins.

Ha Ha I love the observation. I do not know your exact situation but I was able to rig a system off our car where I could charge a 2ed battery off an battery charger or off the car using the power outlet in the car {formally the cigarette lighter}.
I then used an inexpensive AC inverter to power our lap top when in the car or in the bus. I have seen rigs where you can buy complete systems but it is a lot cheaper to build your own. If this might I can send you plans and offer technical help to make it. This will also work for 12V lighting for your tent or a very small fan. It is not a lot but it will go along way to making light of life. Black and Decker sold a storm power outage system that was small but did the same thing. Also a car back up battery jumper box will work and they have a 12v outlet port for this purpose.
