The time in a person's life when one performs ALL the tasks they were required to do as a salaried employee, plus act as an ersatz babysitter for the grand-kid(s), provide room, board, and laundry services for Junior, who, despite being a college grad with a promising career, still lives in your basement, chauffeur Sissy around at the drop of a hat (Sorry Mom, but my car broke down again...), be a pawn shop/loan agent for ALL the kids, AND their friends, none of whom are even remotely related to you, and be doctor, mechanic, taxi, cook, psychologist, and a myriad of other professions, all because your offspring can't function in the slightest without you, all while not only NOT receiving compensation, but also being called senile, overprotective, forgetful, or just plain OLD
