out to be a bad day for with my health the way it is. being a disable vet I was up at the hospital visited my wife when I came out there was a young lady with her young son both come up to me the young boy said to thank you so much for your service. that made my day. the young must of been 4 or 5 years old.

May I ask where, with whom, and when you served? My oldest uncle and my Dad served in WW2, both in Europe. My uncle was a B-24 pilot with 23 missions, and Dad was an infantry rifle platoon leader: 355th Regiment, 89th Division, 3rd Army. Both served the United States of America, if the previous details didn't clue you in. Dad's Division's route across Europe: France, Luxembourg, Germany. I never had a good opportunity to talk to my uncle about his service, and he died last year. I have been able to talk to my Dad about bits & pieces of what he did during the war, and hope to learn & write down more of that.
