Just put up another short story, one rather lighter and not as 'noir' or heavy as the one from last week (Raquiel). This short can also fit in the Light saga - which I am totally now tempted to start calling 'Dawn of Light' as coined by Nyssa! It may even have a hint of future issues for poor Jordan to deal with... ;)

Hopefully folks enjoy this one! As always, thanks for reading - and especially for any comments!!

I honestly didn't know that wasn't the name

I was probably influenced by a horrible vignette I wrote when I was about 16 called 'Light's Dawn' which depicted a somewhat spoiled and immature girl who has all these family pressures to reach her potential. But these aren't just people, they are something more. Anyway it ends with her accepting her responsibilities and the line "and God said 'Let there be light,' and there was light." Trust me when I say that if that sounds at all interesting it is only because I made it seem coherent. But it was one of my first attempts at a story (never completed) and a toe-dip into a genre of fantasy that seems related to these stories.

I can't get enough of your stories. They always seem so rich with backstory that feels like the tenuous memory of a dream, ephemeral but deeply felt.

Hmmm

I had been referring to it all as just the 'Heaven's Light' saga, and now that I remembered to check my notes I had 'Light of Dawn' as a possible title for Book 5. :)

Thank you so much for all your kind comments, Nyssa. They help tremendously especially on days when motivation to get going on more sags. I really really appreciate them!! I just put in for some vacation time in a couple weeks, and provided Mom's crisis abates I hope to use the time to nudge some better progress on book 4.
