Just a heads up boys, girls and enbies,

I am going to look at putting Psyren's Redemption and Fall of Kruhl up on Amazon. So if you'd like to preserve a copy, it would probably be a good idea to nab them before they're gone.

Edit:
Also, the last time I posted such a notice I got a little bit of push back (on a different site), so I'm going to add a disclaimer. Please, before you chime in and tell me that it's in poor taste or that I should only sell stories that weren't already available online for free, please consider you are not aware of my current financial status or why I am even selling these stories to begin with. Please allow me to do with my intellectual property as I see fit and respect that.

About donated equines and oral inspections

As a long-time reader on this site, I have, in the past, been critical of writers who post stories to THEIR time-table. instead of as quickly as - I - would wish. I humbly apologize. Intellectual property belongs ONLY to its creator! If a creator is generous enough to share, that is a GIFT - not to be denigrated in any way.

Sorry it took me so long to come to this conclusion.

I used to hold some pretty

I used to hold some pretty bad view points, but we learn and grow. I'm glad you have come around.

Have delightfully devious day,

Give our efforts to BCTS?

BarbieLee's picture

Years earlier it was suggested I offer my stories to this site. I declined, as a published novelist I understood what momentary value was in my literary efforts. To post published and unpublished works on BCTS is a give and take compromise from authors and the ladies who maintain BCTS. The authors receive critique of their works including serious editing at times. BCTS receives a collection of stories usually posted nowhere else and thus traffic to their site. Provided they benefit from the hits they can grow their profits. A sharing of labors if you will.
What one does or doesn't with their literary works is up to each individual. With only a few exceptions I've read better writing on this site than I have in any published books. I wish all the authors received a reward for their labors. For some the accolades is enough. For others they desire a financial reward. Both situations are right as the author may deem individually. For the rest of us, never forget the story belongs to the respective author the same as all their other labors.
Hugs people

For the longest time I did

Daniela Wolfe's picture

For the longest time I did not try to sell mine because I didn't want them tied to my real name and fear that even if I posted them under an alias it would lead to me being outed if there was money involved. Then I began transitioning and my entire perspective changed.

Have delightfully devious day,

Beer

Huh, what's that got to do with books?

Well, those books on sale at Amazon are often prized roughly at the same level as a beer in a pub.

So, instead of viewing it as paying for a book that you were able to read for free, just imagine you are buying the author a beer in a pub as a "Thank You!" for making the book available to you.

Spending cash for what was once free

I have actually bought stories from writers, on this site, whose stories I have previously read for free. Why, you might ask? Well, for one, I liked the stories; two, I liked the idea of rereading them all in one go rather than opening a new page for each chapter; three, I'm in a somewhat better financial position than I was a few years ago; four, I did really see it as saying thank you for the work the author put in; among other minor reasons. The only 'negative' I see, is the difficulty of leaving a trail of kudos as I read.(Hopefully the money makes up for that.)

Thank you

I appreciate the sentiment, thank you both!
