The cliffs behind Anne
were at a beach in North Somerset and had alternating layers of Devonian sandstone and gypsum. They used to mine the gypsum and send it to nearby Watchet by rail for loading on boats. What you couldn't see was that we had to walk up a set of steps back up the cliff to get to the car park. It took Anne about half an hour because of her breathing problems, however, she faced them with courage and a calmness that surprised me and she wouldn't let it beat her, until relatively recently when it really did limit her life.

I'm so sorry Anne's gone Ang. I know she was one of your closest friends. She didn't strike me as that old Ang. Was it unexpected or was she ill?

will be missed by all who knew her, we should remember her as the fun loving wit who could rustle up a mean chocolate truffle as well as an ardent supporter of several writers to be found at BC.

Hello Ang.
Thanks for letting us know. I know you were close, and can't think of anything I can say or do to lessen the loss. I'm thinking of you though, and will miss her too, was looking forward to riding along down there as a group again. I hope it will happen, even with the gap left by Anne. I didn't know her well, but believe she enjoyed life in general, and your company as well.
