It's about a boy who can't get into boys' summer camp to play baseball but eventually persuades his father to let him go to girls' baseball camp where he learns something about himself and wins the tournament for them. It's in several parts I remember that. Any ideas?

I recognize the plot, and know it to be a recent post, just can't recall the name or author in my old age. You're right, it was a fun read. The girls basically adopt him into the age year, and make him one of their own. He learns to be a much better player and team leader. Wait! Hold on. Try girls of summer by Clara. Should be on FM and tgstorytime.
