Well I found out today that my boss has to eleminate one full time position from our department. One of our senior guys is going to retire after he has some surgeries but if that is not soon enough then someone will have to be laid off. Now senority is not suposed to exist is the hospital where I work but it does. If they deside to go by senority then my neck will be on the chopping block. I have been there for 8 years with the execption of a few months in 2007, but even that leaves me in last place as all the other full timers have been there longer in one postion or another. This really sucks. I may end up coming back from vacation and finding out that I am unemployed.
I hate being broke. I could really use a beer right now.

I hope you keep your job, I hope everybody can keep theirs. The company, I worked for, owned by a foreign company, chose to keep it's offshore factory going...and released about 600 here ( many over 10 years and some over 20 yrs). I'm sure there are many in a similar situations. And I hope if you should unfortunately lose yours, that someone who knows of another, could give you a lead. Mary.

I found out today that my head is not on the chopping block. They desided this morning, not to cut a full time spot. instead their going to cut our part time spot. It's a load off my mind. Thanks agian
