She IS NOT me!

The extremely large picture associated with some of my comments as part of my signature line following some stories is not of me and I did not post it. I am sorry for any inconvenience the pic causes readers, but someone else in some way I don't understand must have gotten into my account and changed the link. I have now eliminated any pic link from my BC account and have changed my screen name, e-mail address, and password.

Just Brought Up An Old Comment...

(in Chapter 38 of Arecee's Show Me the Money, using Firefox 3.6.10) and the large photo was still there, incidentally fouling up the screen margins. Hope the admins can take care of it.

There are four ways to do that

erin's picture

The easiest for me is to delete Jezzi's account which would delete all comments by her, and all of her stories, too. Obviously not desirable.

Another way would be to write a database query that would do a hunt and kill on the lines that contain the picture. That one could have consequences and would take time and expertise.

The simplest way would be for someone to go to tgforum, where the image is being stored and delete or change it there.

The most undesireable way to handle the problem is that for the next umpty ump months people report to me when they find the damn thing and not provide a link to go to it directly where I have to not only search out the story and comment only to find I have the wrong info but then I have to edit the comment and remove the offending picture. This takes about two minutes with a link and five+ minutes without one. I ain't going to live long enough to edit all of Jezzi's comments. :)

Hugs,
Erin

Or maybe nr 5?

Maybe you can block linking pictures from sites like www.tgforum.com to here? If Jezzi, or anyone, wants to use avatars they must be stored locally, like in their account?

When browsing, it's simple, after Jezzi disclaimed that picture, I just added a blocking line in my filter, blocking all pictures from tgforum. Maybe you can do something like that in your .htaccess ?

I have a list

Melanie Ezell (aka Rasufelle) did a backtrack and I have a list of the occurrences of the pic. Just haven't gotten to fixing 'em yet!

I've had to do the database

I've had to do the database removal before. It's not a big deal, and there shouldn't be any consequences. Just zap the actual link, and the worst that should happen is a broken link notation under her posts, which won't break anything.

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

I'd like it deleted

from my comment section if it can be done. I don't mind someone using their picture and posting it, but not as someone else. Arecee
