The Redhead and the PM is forty (40) chapters long. I have it set up for 21 postings; however, some of the final proofing for the latter chapters is not completed. Specifically, some of the UK unique things haven't been gone over by someone who knows. I made many errors in the first few chapters out of ignorance. That's because, as much as I try, I haven't learned enough British unique language and geography features from my five trips to England, and watching PBS. So, the posting will take a while. Right now, just the first twelve chapters are mostly ready to go. We're going to a friends grandson's Bar Mitzvah next week so I imagine the posting will go on well into December.

I hope you enjoy the story, even though it is not heavy with TG issues. I apologise to the UK readers for taking some liberties with reality. I love the UK and cherish every visit I've made.

Reality?

"I apologise to the UK readers for taking some liberties with reality."

You do realise that this is supposed to be a fiction site? Judging by some of the recent submissions, reality doesn't come into it much.

I do know what you mean, though: try and set a story in a real place, but one you don't know very well, and there's always someone who will find the flaws... most of us accept that changes may need to be made for some stories to work, though.

Portia, Personally, whatever

Portia,
Personally, whatever you present us, I know will be an excellent story, and well worth reading regardless of setting, language issues, or whatnot. Jan

Exactly

It is only when something really glaring comes out that I worry. I remember a story where Newcastle was South of York...and they called turnips 'rutabagas'. I think that when someone clearly makes an effort to mug up on something it is appreciated. It's when they make assumptions, and lazy ones, that they irk. So thank you for taking the time and making the effort!
