Another day in unemployed paradise here. >P

So, I was able to do 3k today with Tegan. That is great, as I do hope to sell that one and make money, but I have a lot of other things on the backburner as well. The problem is, my muse is not overly interested in anything else and because my shoulder is flopping all over (hyperbole) I am not able to do much on other things such as 300 Rains or the Whateley stories I have in the works. It is very frustrating.

The upside to all of this though, is even though my arm is still a problem, making me miss key a lot of words, I am still writing. 3k is pretty good. The story is advancing and it looks like I might be able to get somewhere with the story. It still needs fleshing out, but the bones are strong. So, writing is good. I am a big fan of that.

Otherwise, I am doing okay. Been doing a lot of reading, such as the whole Fresh Start run by Julie O, LOTR and a few other things. I have read a number of the Comic retcon stories on here and have enjoyed them immensely. I even thought of a character that might be fun, Badger. For those of you unfamiliar with the character, he makes DID loads of fun, with some truly intriguing personalities. The neat thing is, he has more skill and strength than one might imagine from a regular human being. He even goes a bit insubstantial when he changes personality (something that saved the day at least once). I thought he might be a hoot. Besides, who else is protecting the wilds of Madison Wisconsin?

Heh... so it goes.

"We don't need no stinkn' badgers!" -- snicker --

To quote the film UHF which was parodying The Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

That is something I did deliberately on my long on hiatus series Timeout and I am happy to see in the recons. The supers are not all in NYC, Washington DC or LA. There IS something in-between other than Smallville in Kansas and Chicago/Gotham in the Great Flyover as some coast snobs put it. Odd, I always thought Gotham was NYC but then that is the fun of the recons.

BTW I had a minor mutant character in my Timeout Whateley Academy fanfic named Badger Boy, a sort of Wolver... Opps almost said the name, type but different. He was a member of the Madison Supers Group or MSG, appropriate as they often met in a Chinese restaurant owned and run buy an older super.

Hope you get healthy, Heather. And as to villains to fight.. don't even ask about the state of politics in Wisconsin. But then to avoid that can of worms there is always the mosquitoes, giant mutant killer zombie mosquitoes, that brain disease some whitetail dear carry, emerald ash borers, the giant Asian carp trying to get in the Great Lakes and,

GULP!

Road construction!!!
