Time for another contest?

Contest are fun and seem to increase involvement in the site. So I'm thinking of a contest to run from April 1 to May 5. Since there are several important calendar dates in that range, including April Fool's Day, Passover, Easter, IRS Day, May Day and Cinco de Mayo, I'm thinking of offering a choice of themes for contest entries, like these:

1. Fooled Again
Some people just can't help falling for the same trick every time.
A twenty five hundred year old tradition with no reason or rhyme.
2. Spared from Evil
Something terrible may happen but a few can be spared.
But what secret of safety in time can be shared?
3. Redemption
Someone must pay a price to save another.
Who will sacrifice to save a sister or brother?
4. Working for the Man
Bureaucrats in high heels or MIBDs?
It's been like this since we climbed down from the trees.
5. Rescue Me
An appeal for help may not be answered.
Was it not known, not felt, not seen, not heard?
6. Working Girl
Some things are best done by professionals.
Like dog walkers, street cleaners and guys who dig tunnels.
7. "It's May!"
She may only be a model but in Camelot
We sing about ham and jam and spam a lot.
8. Remembering Our Battles
Everyone has a struggle to survive -- even if they don't.
Keeping track helps us stay alive -- even if we won't.

Anyone got more ideas before I get this started next weekend?

Hugs,
Erin

Sounds good.

But I still haven't seen the Feb results. I must be stupid because I have looked but not found them.

They were listed near the top of the front page...

...for five days and now they are listed above the blogs under the F E A T U R E S banner. It's also linked as the first item on the contest page thru the link at the top of the Qucik'n'Easy shortcuts box below the Recent Solos. :)

Where to find the Febuary Contest Results

Piper's picture

Goto the Front page of the site, either by putting http://bigclosetr.us/topshelf into your browsers address bar, or by clicking the BigCloset Boudoir logo, or the "BigCloset TopShelf" wording at the top of EVERY page.

Then scroll the page down, paying attention to the cent of the 3 columns untill you find the "FEATURES" bar...

The content you seek is right below that, as show in this screenshot:

It can also be found, by clicking on the "Short Story Month - February 2012" Link at the top of every contest entry.

Thanks

Damned if I could find it before. Getting old sucks.

You mean ...

... you have a special day to celebrate Independent Rear Suspension in the US? My imagination boggles, which is good because everyone's imagination should be made to boggle at least once a day :)

Are you going to offer a variety of themes or just one from the list? Always a good idea to kick some of us into (in)action. Unfortunately my road to hell is paved with my bad intentions.

How about: Battle of the sexes; Anything you can do I can do better; We were such devoted sisters; So you think school easier now than in your day; If a job's worth doing it's worth doing badly; Virtual food isn't really very nourishing but the sex is good and you don't actually die;

I warned you about my bad intentions.

A story set in a shower (wedding, baby, precipitation or just plain naked cleanliness.) Bonus points if it's written entirely in Middle English.
