I just made a post in one of the forums from Firefox and it works fine for me. I've never had a problem with posting on BCTS with Firefox.

Firefox on Debian
Firefox on Debian is packaged as... Iceweasel, for some very peculiar idea to do with trademarks, I think.
If I do Help -> About it shows me 24.8.1, which I think is near to current Firefox releases. Debian tends to lag behind the most recent versions of software, although I will say their security updates (bash?) are very prompt.
This version of Iceweasel has no problems at all displaying the site on a Debian Wheezy system.
