I can't help but wonder if Gabs isn't running full tilt towards a solid wall. I know that part of her petulance ( re the shoes) is typical teenager trying to thumb her nose at her parents, but she is really making enemies out of friends. In many cases like this she could turn to her parents, but her parents, being her "bosses" are they capable of separating themselves from Appollinarses (sic) and just be her parents? And will Gaby believe they are looking out for Gaby? After all, Gaby is a valuable commodity in which Appolinarse (sic) invested a considerable amount of money.

I suppose we shall have to wait to find out, but poor Gaby seems to not only be burning the candle at both ends, she is trying to get a fire going in the middle as well.
