So Facebook has been gone around 12 hours and I am not sure that I'm sorry. Maybe I'll have to find something else to do? Not sure, but I think I can live without it. Any bets?

I notice that BCTS had some down time the other day, any relation?

Have a nice night ladies.

I turned off my facebook for over a month already lol I don't miss it abit. It was too distracting for me. But facebook is working for those here. I just saw someone checking into facebook couple of hours ago.

Been working all day here

There are business pages tied to my account and I would notice if there was any significant outage lasting longer than five or so minutes.

A conspiracy

We all know that Zuckerburg puts on this magical suit and is actually Erin ;-)

on losing that antisocial habit.

1) my cell phone doesn't have internet capability, so I couldn't be rude and ignore those I'm with by facebooking or twitting*
2) I break out the knitting when I'm not at my computer.

* when they change the name of the site/service to Tweeter, then it is tweeting, until then it is twits sending twits to twits.

Stupidity is a capital offense. A summary not indictable.

Bigger is not always better.

One of the reason I prefer small forums and websites, like Big Closet, is that here, the owners have to balance the budget for the website.

Super large companies have over inflated values, that these companies borrow against, putting them deep in the debt whole, and ready for collapse at any time. Most of the time they hide the debt and losses by constantly building, but when they can no longer build, the truth comes to light and they collapse.

Suggestion.

Have you tried to go into your account, through an IP proxy, that is outside of Oregon?

That might work. Your ISP might be blocking Facebook.

As far as I know, it's not down generally...

I'm still receiving beaucoup notifications, in any case, and had no trouble at all logging in to check my account.

I'd try another access path.

My wife's been on it all day.

My wife's been on it all day. Just checked her account about an hour ago.

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

I use FaceBook very rarely

I use FaceBook very rarely these days, haven't used it much in the last year and a half, and I get along fine without it. I'm sure you will too.

Just say No and don't go back

Remember sites like Facebork and Twatter are there to milk data about YOU and your lifestyle, friends and everything. They are most certainly not a service to you but to their advertisers.
I never felt the need to tell the world my business so I declined all invitations to sign up to any social media accounts. I had a linkedin account once but that lasted less than a week. Just my $2c worth which counts for naught really.
