Is this the end of the Symphony?

First, I just have to tell you all (18 years in the south and I still can’t say y’all) that I am thrilled by the votes and comments on the last few chapters. They have been really heartfelt and thoroughly encouraging. All the time I spent alone writing, thinking that maybe this would be okay, or even, if the gods smiled on me, pretty good, has been repaid.

And did you read that wonderful comment from Vickie Tern? Nice to have a retired English professor analyze your stuff and think it's pretty good. She even told me in an email that she had reread my earliest story (Boy Nanny, on Storysite or FM) for inspiration, or at least perspective on something she's working on now. Yikes!

Now comes the hard part. We’re closing in on the end of the story and I’m getting reluctant to finish. I want to go off and write about ten more chapters because, and despite all the time I’ve spent with them, I’m just really discovering the depths and many facets of Rebecca and Sara. There’s so much more to explore.

But I think I’ve made a commitment to all you readers, and to myself, and that it would be unfair to stop now to write more, as much as I’d like to.

Still, I’m not quite ready to post the ending. There’s some rewriting I must do and that will take me a few days at least. I’m really busy at work, and even now, late in the evening I’m stealing time from what I should be doing.

So please be patient and I’ll get the rest up as soon as I can. And if you haven’t read what’s posted already, get to it!

hard decision

Kelly, ive loved your work, its been a turbulent tale that has gripped me quite strongly, and you've raised some strong points throughout.
Sometimes ending something is good, theres always the potential for new adventures, without letting good ones go stale... As much as we want to write more about one scenario, sometimes some things must end, and allow new things to happen. I certainly hope we hear more from Rebecca and Sara. I loved the way you dealt with Judaism and Trans, very tactfully done.

I just hope my work can be as good and readable as yours.
I await the final chapter!
Alyssa

Symphony

Kelly,

Close this chapter of Symphony if you must, but leave us with the possibility of adding more to this saga if time and desire permit. Don't let this story die. It's too good. You have so much more to add to it.
