Ok, so my Fiancee's Father is in the hospital following a long and drawn out episode which started last thursday and might be ending today.

Friday, he was sent to the hospital for jaundice, following two weeks of treatment for blood clots in his legs. That was last friday. Saturday morning we got the phone call that they were going to do emergency Gall-bladder surgury cause he had stones blocking the bile ducts.

Saturday afternoon, we got a call that a large tumor of unknown type was attached to his liver, destroying the gall and blocking the ducts, and he wasn't expected to live another week.

I left work early and we packed up and drove the 345 miles in just over three hours to get to the hospital to see him.

I'm not so good with death, dying, and cancer in general, except in my fictional universes. I seem to cause more trouble in the hospital with my mouth, as it has the abaility to work much faster than either my common sense or my conscious.

We are staying with my mother, only bad thing is she is only a TV and a microwave away from being a Luddite, so I am finding myself at Burger king stealing their wifi writing this.

On the plus side, I have gotten a heck of alot of stand-alone-complex-style writing done and 22 is nearly done now. I think I'll be sending it out tomorrow while enjoying another plate of fries and small soda.

At this time, he is in surgery to have a tube put in his liver to drain it, so he may have a longer stint at life, one to two years at best with radiation and chemo.

I might be driving back home married, as we might push the wedding ahead so he can see it happen before he goes. Don't worry, we already got the rings.
