It's never good enough, never ever ever.

I am STILL working on 23, even while unboxing all my possessions from the second move in as many years. I am also reworking 'Endgame' because I just can't leave anything well enough alone.

Be do not lose hope or give up on me. I want everyone to see my vision, not just what is there, but I also want you to experience the parts that are still locked away in my head.

Call a locksmith!

We also want to see what's locked away in your head. Perhaps if you were to hang upside down for awhile it would come out your ears? ;-)

Damaged people are dangerous
They know they can survive

Stop it!

Put it away. Forget about it for at least a fortnight, if not a month if you can last out. Come back to it with a fresh viewpoint, and re-read what you've written so far.

Then deal with it. Fix it up, edit it and ship it out the door.

We authors have to realise that our stories are like children: eventually, they are going to have to head out into the big wide world and exist on their own merits.

If you just continually grind over it, all you'll do is grind yourself down, and there's a big danger you'll grind down your beloved story as well. Less is more. Well, you know what I mean.

Hugs,

Penny

You know...

You know, I think you might be on to something there. I haven't really done that in awhile, that is reread everything I have ever posted. It usually puts me in the mindset and propels the story forward in my head.
