I don't usually look at the hit counters, especially now that I'm posting so little,
but I was surprised to see that my very first post here, almost five years ago,
recently accumulated over 10,000 hits.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read anything I've read,
and thanks to Erin for setting up and continuing to run this site.

I'm quite certain that I would never written as much if it weren't for BCTS.

And thanks to those of you who financially support this site, whoever you are.
You're helping a great many people.

I think I've gotten better as a writer for having been a part of BCTS... although
I still often feel an almost tangible sense of not being able to put into words
the images and stories I have in my mind. I mean, I continue to bump up against
my limits as a writer.

Because of that, it's great to be able to go back and tweak old stories,
to hopefully make them clearer and easier to read.

And it's wonderful to be a part of community, to read writers whose work I admire
and greatly enjoy. There are some people here who are quite amazingly good, and
deserve to be more widely known.

So... thanks and hugs and hope we're all active and connected for many years to come!
