A reviewer on another site has just compared episode 1 of 'The Uncertainty Prinicple' to James Joyce.

JAMES JOYCE!!!!!

The best I'd hoped for was that someone might recognise the parallels between Colin's situation and that of the guy in Franz Kafka's 'Metamorphosis'. I thought it was a pretty vain hope, to be honest.

But James Joyce!

I can't think of a greater compliment. If I had a ladder I'd be on the roof now, waking up the whole of Roker Avenue.

How about...

You just accept the fact that you're good? In this generation, not many have read Kafka's classic story so the lack of comparisons there isn't surprising. But as I said, in my opinion, your work is wonderful. Though I have to admit, the comparison to James Joyce was nice.

I Wasn't Being Entirely Serious

Joyce who?

Not listed in the author's list here, is she posting on FM?
