No longer writing

This is a good day, kind of. I am no longer in the writing phase of my next novel. I wrapped up the first draft earlier to day of "Unreachable"" (I dropped the word "The" from the beginning). and now I am onto the tedious part of editing. The book is 240k words long, so a bunch is going to be cut off to get it to a respectable length. I overdid the beginning and I think I can lose that without hurting the story.

The difference between being a writer and an author is this part. I can no longer just format the story and put it out there. Spelling needs to be checked, dangling participles need to be undangled. My overuse of semicolons must be kept at bay. Though I love creating, a novel is different. Stories I post for fun I write a chapter and do a quick check then post, but now I will spend the rest of the month editing and rewriting.

But I need some Beta readers. Mostly for content. I have an editor now but I need people to tell me which scenes need to be strengthened and which need to be condensed. If you are familiar with my work, you know there is some religious content but not nearly as much as other books. So, if you want to help at the end of the month.... send me a pm or leave a message.

Finished writing.

I think you wanted to say that you finished writing, not that you were no longer writing.

Are you trying to scare us?

Hey, Don't scare us like that.
Whats with that wording? A writer should know better.
What Scary blog title. I thought something was wrong.

Glad you are only meant it in the sense of the current projects writing phase is done.
Because I for one want to see you keep writing.
And I am sure that goes for a lot of others here.
.

PS. And I mean scared something was wrong in your life,
and not just that we might no longer have the pleasure of your stories.
