So, on this site only, the font is too small and I do not seem able to make it larger. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

It is probably the browser

It is probably the browser you are using. Since the android 4.4(kitkat), Google removed the text wrap support from it's webkit, rendering most browsers unable to do so as they use it. In many Samsung cases, even before kitkat it seems unable to do the text wrap, it happened to me after updating a galaxy tab plus 7inch. Google Chrome also seems unable to do text wrap, but that's because Google want it that way, what I think it's strange because the Google Chrome for the desktop does the text wrapping when zooming pages.

A good option is the Opera Browser as it does the text wrap flawlessly.

Apple not Google

Piper's picture

Just an FYI, Apple not Google is the author of Webkit. Google Chrome is just one of the many browsers that make use of apple's Open Sourced WebKit.

Further FYI

My brother and his team at Apple created Webkit from the K-browser. Don is responsible for talking Jobs into keeping it open source, and when Google used it to make Chrome, Steve never let Don forget it. :)

Poor Jobs

Anything that upset poor ol' Stevie has got to rank as a good thing. ;-)

I went outside once. The graphics weren' that great.

That's not quite right.

Chromium, on which Google Chrome is based, uses the Blink browser engine. The Blink browser engine is a fork of WebKit.
Another thing, Opera uses the Blink browser engine.

Gwen, if...

It's the same as my 7.0 , go to settings, then accessibility and set the font size there. I have mine set at 175 & the double tap zoom at 180. The min font I have set at 1pt. Seems to work for me. Good luck. Hugs, Talia

I

I use the Printer Friendly option on my 10.1 tablet and phone.

Other Browsers

Try out other browsers from the default one that comes with the tablet... Chrome is better... But, Google didn't bundle it.

I've used "Dolphin" quit happily on my android phone - and had no trouble with the site.

FF not recommended

FireFox for Android is not stable and crashes on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 on a daily basis. The fact that they push out a new update every week may have something to do with it. The browser it came with has little to recommend it other than it is stable, especially nice when trying to play videos. There are several other browser apps available from the Google Play Store, including Chrome, but I haven't tried them yet. Moving up to a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (pawnshop special) so I don't have any reason to mess with the old Tab 10.1. The old Tab 10.1 has also topped out OS-wise so upgrading the OS will help out there, some apps have no support for the old versions of Android and plainly say so.
