Has anyone done a timeline for Julie O's stories, especially one that includes the stuff others have written set in her universe?

It'd be nice to see what order to read things in.

Also, I don't suppose there's any chance of getting her stuff in e-book form is there?

you can look

up the date each was published and get the order pretty much, or you can look at her author's page on FM and they are listed in order of release, which is pretty much the timeline, maybe one or two out of order, but that's due to stories inter working, maybe using a character in another story, but its close. thats the best I can suggest. She was using Bob's Stardust site for releases, but I am pretty sure most finally made their way to FM.

I know...

That she posted like 18 months ago or something like that.

11/23

11/23 Was her last post on FM, a sequel to Quinn's saga, so she is still writing :)

Work in progress

I did a timeline many sun circuits back. Though I am not sure where exactly on my collection of storage media that spreadsheet is located.

But I am working on a new timeline, including an index of characters, as my available spoons allow. For this project I am also trying to download and/or save all of her stories from the different free story sites, in order to compile them into an ePub for my own and personal library and periodic re-reading. But I do not want to share said ePub eBook with anyone except the author!

Once upon a time there existed a browser extension that allowed you to save a web page, and even the pages linked to by the current page, and save them as an ePub eBook for offline reading. I have used that extension (now sadly disappeared) to save stories here on BCTS to read them off-line on my tablet, either in bed before falling asleep or while traveling by bus, train or airplane or even while in the hospital.

Especially since the COVID lock-downs I have started to go through my collection of save ePubs to clean the mark-up and make minor spelling corrections (for example “waste” should be “waist”, or when parents “except” their child instead of “accept”). I have even started to add a list of characters to help me keep the relationship between the characters straight in my mind, with a side benefit of catching character confusions that slipped through the editing process.

A special challenge are interrelated multi-part stories, irrespective of belonging or not to a formal story universe.

I do this for my own personal reading enjoyment. But if I can help or support some of my favorite authors with my mark-up editing, I will gladly share my labors with them.
