I've noticed a couple of serials that I started to read have stopped or been discontinued.Lee way by Just me and thats the way it happened Or something close to that are two that come to mind.Does anyone know if they are going to be continued?I read a lot of storys and it's a big let down when a story's not finished.I'm not trying to be critical of the writers it is their effort that provides my enjoyment in reading their work.

Ask Erin Or Sephrina

They should know. In fact, check under the author's name. I did, the story is there

Erin or Sephrena may not know. All sorts of things come in to play, Life being one. They may be stalled and can't find that next piece. Maybe it's almost... but not quite. Maybe help is needed. Problem is usually no one knows.

I like those myself and would like to see them continue. But... stuff happens... If either either (ee-ther, i-ther aint English weird) or both need help, ask. If it's otherwise and you no longer want to or can, well that's sad but the world keeps turning and be good to yourselves. Don't sweat it... a story is just a story and whatever is good for you comes first.

Write when and if... we'll be here

Leeway is on Hiatus

...until as such time author Justme decides to return to it. A serial is a time demanding thing and very rough on someone who has real life to contend with. Before Leeway will be reposted, Justme will rebuild a new backlog of chapters pre written like before to allow for time off when needed when and if the serial resumes. My experience with editing and assisting Admiral Krunch with Christina Chase showed just how much effort is built up by Admiral Krunch in preparing for this venture. His is written well in advance for months at a time.

When the time gets closer to continuing, I am quite certain Justme will post something to let us know.

Sephrena Lynn Miller.

Understand

Yes there are a lot of storys out there that never get finnished it's the way of the world is it not. A couple of storys i wonder about are, Darren's Dilemma by Suzie Huff and Office Bet by Melanle Brown, but i know from my own writing some times you get lost just don't know were to go.

LadyCat35, I Have Spoken With Melanie

she right now is taking it easy. She will get back to Office Bet And the Reluctant Series when she has the time and energy to return to posting stories. So, just wait for her to get back in the groove. Me, I hope she brings all her stuff from the other site over here. I think Sephrena and Erin want her too, but Melanie has to post them.

As an editor/proofer for several Top Shelf authors ...

And specifically as the other editor/proofreader, along with Sephrena, for Being Christina Chase by Admiral Krunch, I can back up what Sephrena has said.
Without a huge backlog before posting even starts, it is easy to run into a writers block, and the story just stops while a detour is found around it.

I had most of the so far posted portions of Being Christina, before part one was posted, and I am happy to say, I already have the next 3 months worth of parts. I try to stay at least 3 weeks ahead of posting, for the same reason. An editor/proofreader's real life can get in the way and slow postings if it is being done in real time.

The author’s real life can get in the way, too. It may be a temporary thing based on time, family issues or the like. The author may, as in two cases I am aware of, just tire of it and TG fiction and quit.

Or it may be more tragic. Sometimes the author leaves us unexpectedly and permanently.
We will never see an end to the trilogy of Sam and Me/Joan’s Room/Happily Ever After unless one of her friends can finish it, and hopefully, knew where Joan, aka Darla Raspberry, was going with it.
I would love to see it finished, but hopefully by someone or someones who can match her style and quality. I almost think it would have to be a collaboration to make sure it is up to standard, even if there is one main writer and several helpers.

I have my own list of at least a dozen stories I would like to see finished, that have been ‘on hiatus’ for more than 2, and as many as 4 years.
