I had a manager that arranged a teen-age disco on his 13th birthday. We were all invited, provided we could prove that we hadn't had our 20th birthday :(
At least they year 2000 had a 29th of february, 1900 didn't.

You just celebrated your 15th birthday. That means you have to wait until 2040 until you're no longer a teenager. Ugh! :(

Once upon a time I thought each brew came from a specific grain such as whiskey was made from corn and that was that. Not so, it is what is mixed in to make the batch that counts. My learned friend told me brandy is made from wine??? Not sure what Brandie is made from? Two XX chromosomes I guess?
Oh, yes, by the way, happy birthday and why didn't you wish me one two weeks ago? Of course I was torqued and didn't get you a birthday present since I didn't receive one myself. I'm selfish like that.

I've always associated liquor with XXX
at least the moonshine varitety. Thats what the cartoons taught me. I suppose it's all crock.
While some liquors can be made from a variety of fermented organic matter (e.g. akvavit) apparently the raw material do matter (don't ask me, I have yet to touch the stuff). Cognac, brandy (what's in a name?) and Armagnac are all made from grapes (by the way, have you heard about the Armagnac-Burgundy war?).

Those little gray dudes, well I think they were dudes as they had no breasts, but then they had no male bits either, just big eyes and gray skin. Back to what I was saying, they told me they would drop off your birthday present right after they finished with something they needed to do to some cattle, on their way back to Area 51.
Yes she is keeping me quite busy, spent all morning on my birthday over at the high school she will be going to in a couple of years when she graduates Jr. High. She was in a contest that she preformed a flute solo in. (She won highest awards)
Today spend a good portion of the day on the front porch, switching between a 6 string and 12 string guitar, a mandolin, a tenor banjo and a 5 string banjo back and forth as she would jump from one style of music to another on a violin she was playing which would require me to accompany her on a different instrument.
I can't say that I've ever heard "Stairway to Heaven" played on a violin before. It was interesting...LOL
Oh almost forgot...If its made with grains, corn, wheat, etc. Its whiskey. If it's made with fruit its brandy. at least that is how the difference was explained to me by my moonshiner relatives.

I fell into the tar pit
There are a few people here who should not be allowed to be in the same room together. I'm not going to name them all but Bru and Nuuan come to mind for some odd reason. Kinda brings back the memory of Barney sampling some of the Darling's Mulberry squeezings. Of course it was only fruit juice. I'm not sharing a glass of fruit juice with either Bru or Nuuan as the "fruit" has been sitting in the jug too long. As to their other claim whole grains are healthy..., I'm not sure that is what the cereal companies meant? I quit eating cereal when I learned what happens when sugar is added. I've seen rats staggering around in the basement where Nuuan keeps his whole grains in a big crock. I was fortunate to find the stairs after I had been down there for a few minutes. "Eating a good breakfast will put a spring into your step." Was what Nuuan told me. I'm sure it does! Provided one doesn't face plant on the floor.
On a side note after our friends ummmm, stopped singing one hundred bottles of beer on the wall.
Jill, I read an interesting article last week. The Air Force is investing in flying cars in getting the FAA approval and helping with the patents. Government helping with Government Bureaucracy?
