I begun a new tale I've been working on for too long; two years. I got to chapter 8 when the virus reared its ugly little head and interrupted life as we all have known it. Unfortunately I had to post it as a pfd. I simply couldn't post it as a regular tale because I got error message after error message. I can't figure out whether I derped or the program derped. And I simply couldn't waste more time messing with it.

I hope to be able to post an edited chapter once a week. The tale is not complete but I'm having so much fun with these characters that I may never complete it and compete for the greatest number of chapters crown.

The ancillary characters in this tale are based upon actual people I've either met or heard about and their actions were based upon reality. I didn't attend the University of Miami but I did need to be there for events over a four year period. The brightest woman I've ever met, aside from my guardians, was a graduate of UM...as she called it.

She graduated with top honors, went on to do her masters at the University of Chicago (they sought her out), and her research at Columbia University. Her work has been cited over 100 times and she is quite renown in a field dominated by men. My two central characters are based upon her. And, in spite of many hours of hard work, she still managed to party out at UM!!! She did not sleep around.

My apologies to those unable to read a pfd. The tale is posted elsewhere in a 'usual' format.

pfd

There I was, trying to think of a document format called a 'pfd' but I couldn't. It must be something new and improved, that I have never seen before, I thought. The only thing that came to my crazed mind was 'personal flotation device', i.e. a life jacket or similar item to use or wear when engaged in water sports.

However, I am now happy as I have downloaded the 'pdf' file, which is 'something entirely different' as they say.

Since I have no problems with pdf files, I'll check out your story this evening.

Best wishes, Lindsay.

Ooopsies...

Ooopsies... Definately my bad!!! =)

Error

... upon error sounds strange. How does one get errors in a story? (Okay, I'm speaking as one who writes in ASCII text.)

"... compete for the greatest number of chapters crown." Are you thinking of posting (say) 5000 chapters?
