does my bipolar cycle imitate a menstrual cycle?

Okay so I was talking to a friend last night about my current bout of depression, and she, because she likes to tease me about how girly I am, pointed out that my bipolar cycle speeds up once a month, mimicking a period.

Now before you totally dismiss this, I must report that both times I lived with a woman with a menstrual cycle, my bipolar started to mirror that cycle, to the point I would joke with Tracy that she never had to tell me when her period was about to start, as I just had to pay attention to my own emotions.

Now is there anything scientific to the idea beyond that fact?

Heck if I know.

Be kind of funny if it was the case, though.

Hmmm. I just plain don't know you, nor ...

... menstruation well enough for me to 'go anywhere' with the idea.

My hunch is that the only place the idea will get you is into your bathroom for headache pills.

With each Wife (the two women I lived longest with) the only thing I knew (and not always) was when they menstruating. Oh, and the occasional invitation of "Get me chocolate, or get me in the bedroom".

I later learned (by passing >way< too close to a grocery store butcher) that it was blood that I smelling.
