Hey everyone,

I was really hoping to have chapters of Apocalypse Dawn and I Wish posted this week. but between getting settled in, looking for work, and injuring my ribs on Saturday I haven't been able to get near as much done as I was hoping. My ribs hurt like hell whenever move and Tylenol isn't helping at all, making it hard to concentrate or get a decent night's sleep. I can't really go to a doctor to get anything stronger though because it's going to take some time to get medical coverage for Ontario sorted and I wouldn't have the money for a prescription regardless. I still need to pay to get my damn phone replaced too after it went missing going through security at Montreal airport. *sigh*

This just hasn't been my year, but I'm hoping that it will all turn around once I'm settled in. Other than being sore and hectic I'm liking it here so far and happy to be out of Quebec. I am writing but it's slow going with all of this going on and I'm hoping that I'll have chapters out next week.

*careful hugs to you all*

Pain

Do it like the pirates: a quarter to half a bottle of rum should fix the worst of the pain (provided that it's cheaper than a prescription). >:->
Standard disclaimer applies: don't drive after drinking, and don't do it too often, because otherwise it can become addictive.

I do love rum

I'd go through an awful lot that way though and I can't really afford that either. Still, I might have to see if there's a liquor store in town.

Robaxicet. You might be able to get Robaxicet-8 as well. It's behind the counter, but wasn't prescription last time I looked. muscle relaxant, pain killer. The -8 ones have codine as well.

you might also

try ibuprofen jell caps it was the only thing that helped when i had the monster of all tooth aches. the jell caps are more potent then the pill normally no matter the pain reliever the jell capsoles work better

They aren't more potent, as

They aren't more potent, as such -it's that when the outer capsule dissolves, the medicine inside is released in a large gush rather than a steady stream. So more of it faster, but doesn't necessarily last as long.

Robaxicet comes in ibuprofen versions, aspirin versions, and acetaminophen versions (paracetamol for Brits)

Cumin

Cumin is the anti inflammatory, works pretty fast.

Supposedly mustard and

Supposedly mustard and turmeric both have anti-inflammatory properties. however, cumin may, as well. Mind you, 'homeopathic' type people tend to claim that everything can fix everything.

Tumeric

mixed up spices,

I only go off of the basic ones that actually make sense, turmeric, bone broth, and so on, not into homeopathy, just "old wives" remedies, which actually have a good basis in science,

Thanks Dot

use the voice to text app on

use the voice to text app on your phone and dictate to one of the various note taking apps. If nothing else, if you get some codeine, the resulting tripping mish-mash should be good for a giggle once you're back on your feet.
