Hey Everyone!

I know at least five of you have been enjoying my story The Mockreet, but I logged in today to find that the latest chapter's text has been entirely deleted and I'm unable to re-add the text. It looks as if the mods have taken away my ability entirely so...I'm going to remove all of my chapters here and move over to Scribblehub. The story is keeping the same name. I appreciate your understanding, or not. Either way.

Please don't

Aidra,
Please see other comments. Big Closet is having Data base issues and all stories are currently showing zero words. They will get it back, it is not the first time stories come up blank.

I really am enjoying the Mockreet and would miss it if you remove it.

Hope You'll Reconsider...

As hopefully you've seen by now, it was a universal glitch, not something related to your account in particular.

So I hope you'll stay.

Thanks,

I see you have been a member for less than four weeks, so I'm guessing that you are using the site to beta-test your story.

I like the story and you obviously have talent, but continual threats to take your work elsewhere do nothing to enhance its acceptance. If you don't like us and the selfless efforts of those who operate this site then by all means (as far as I am personally concerned) make love somewhere far away.

I realise that my opinion may not gain universal approval.

Titles make or break many stories

Remember looking for something to read in the library? Of all those books how many did you pick up because the title piqued your interest? The Mockreet is not a book I would have even noticed if it was on the shelf. Sadly if I had passed it over I would miss some very excellent writing from a talented author who has a unique tale to tell.
The only reason I looked at the story now is because I was curious if the writer had enough skill as a word smith to wish I had sampled the writing before the author and the story was removed. I do love looking at all the unbelievable talent of the authors on this site, many which would challenge the best SF writers of world renown of the past. Some would even surpass those great writers in both imagination and the ability to raise their heroes and heroines from the story and bring them to life.

Aidra, I won't follow you if you decide to leave BCTS and take your excellent talent to another site and share with other fortunate readers. I have too much on my plate now following some of the best of the best talented authors I have been blessed to read in what is left of this life. From the couple chapters I read of your story, you have a gift to bring your readers into your unique SF story. Tit be a shame to not be able to follow Lyra Rossi as she learns about life of the common people and the truth of how evil her own father is.
Hugs Aidra, your life, like that of your heroine, is yours to chose within the boundaries placed around you.

Life is a gift. What we do with that gift is our choice, ours alone. Do we simply look at the ingredients we were given or do we turn them into a master piece of our own design?
