So, if you read my last blog entry, you know I've been waiting (and waiting, and waiting, and waiting) to hear back about a job I interviewed for (and if you didn't read it, you know now).
They called me this afternoon and offered me the job.
I am so totally ___________! (excited, happy, relieved, psyched, jazzed, employed)
I still have to pass the background check, but that should be a mere technicality.
Whew! I'm so glad to have that settled.
Now my girl friend, the one who helped me out with my interview outfits and has already presented me with a bag of her (perfectly good, totally cute) cast-offs from a recent closet cleaning, wants to take me shopping again, to sort out a first-day-of-work outfit. The cheesy TG story that is my life lately just keeps getting cheesier and cheesier. And I'm lovin' every minute of it!

I heard William Conrad's voice in my head as I was writing it, but couldn't quite place why. Now it makes sense. Thank you.

I have been waiting like forever for more of this wonderful story. I do hope your muse returns in good cheer and you write lots more. I have re-read this many times and enjoy it more every time I read it.
And before anyone asks me, Chapter 10 of my slowly written story is in process - my muse seems to have returned for a bit of a visit. And Chapters 11 and 12 will come fairly shortly after that - although I am waiting for some upcoming real life events to help me write chapter 12.Hopefully while I am lollygagging about at Chez Pierre in Montreal I can at least get 10 finished and the outline for 12 done.
