There may be no Venus Cursed! today. I'm still upset from yesterday and finding it very difficult to concentrate. I'll try, but I thought I'd let anyone who's interested know that I might not make it today.

Thanks John, and no, it

Thanks John, and no, it doesn't have anything to do with anyone here.

I'm relieved ...

... that it wasn't my comment about using Vash as a pompom that gave you distress. :)

Take your time to recover (not only because that will probably make the next chapter come out better).

Nah, Vash is the one

Nah, Vash is the one distressed over that. Thanks Martin, I'm feeling much better today!

I'll be alright, really!

I'll be alright, really! Nothing major happened or anything, just a little test that I got overly emotional about. Sorry for being such a whiny b*#$) about it! And thanks for caring!

Not sure what happened

Not sure what happened yesterday, but I hope things get better for you.

Thanks, I'm feeling much

Thanks, I'm feeling much better now! I just had an ultrasound Tuesday which, being on a body part I'm not supposed to have (in my opinion, anyway), I found surprisingly upsetting. It was all I could do not to start sobbing while she was doing it. Fortunately she was fine about the TS thing, as everyone at Kaiser has been so far, or it would have been a lot worse.

I think most of the reason why it upset me quite so much was it landing right in the middle of my monthly 'hormonal fun time'! ;) I didn't really realize that when I posted this yesterday, but then I was crying just from posting this yesterday so I guess I wasn't in the best frame of mind for that.

Anyway, I am feeling much better now, and will no doubt feel even better in a few days. Thanks! :)

If it helps, I had to have

If it helps, I had to have my nuts ironed before - at age 22.

That's a most interesting,

That's a most interesting, and oddly appropriate, way of putting it! ;)

I've never found a better

I've never found a better way of describing a testicular/scrotal ultrasound.

Parts...

If the part you're referring to is your prostate, you have my sincere condolences. Even when you're OK with that particular gland, the process itself is icky, disgusting, painful, and just plain annoying. I've had two of the @#$% things, and I have another scheduled in a couple weeks.

And they won't even give me any Valium!

So complain all you want. I'll second that emotion. ;-)

No, thankfully, it wasn't

No, thankfully, it wasn't that. This is an external part. Not something I really like being reminded of, and which I intend to be rid of as soon as possible! ;)

Strange. I had one of those

Strange. I had one of those at the same time as the nut ironing, and I didn't find it much of anything to get concerned about.

It was slightly messy, but took only about a minute, if that, and was over and done with.

Some people just like to whine. :)

whine, whine

The whole business of sticking the transducer up into the dark and smelly place isn't that bad. After all, some people do things like that for recreational purposes. Just lie there and think of England. ;-)

The whole problem is that they also stick a biopsy needle through the rectal wall and take nips of the prostate -- several times. Then, you get reminded of the indignity for several days when you end up with red semen. After a few days, it turns brown.

Biopsy

Keeping in mind that I am my adorable self as portrayed below, I was fortunate enough to have one as well; the blessing of my other half; fourteen samples with a very sharp needle accompanied by an odd metallic sound. My doctor agreed that if Prince Charles were to undergo the procedure, it would be a Royal Pain in the Ass! My deepest sympathies!
