words referring to women which have had, or still have, negative and misogynist connotations.
There are, in fact, few such words referring to men, and those that exist and are roughly equivalent don't have the same depth of sentiment.

Does there have to be intent?
Maybe if there is, it was just playing with words associated with one very narrow subject, which might be seen by some as having a political overtone, or not as the case might be. I don't think there as many words associated with men.

If I were reaching for a negative connotation in a word for someone who exhibits excessive caring I would use the word unctuous as I have in the past to describe male (and female) characters in some of my stories.
The word wet-nurse is applied to either gender. Although wet-nurse is applied to a female, it also can accurately be used for any overly solicitous male.

in the context of my poem is a noun, you're changing that into an adjective. In my original use its context is very specific, in case it was missed, the giveaway is - "All names for women...".
