A disturbance in the Internet ether?

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

For the last several days, I have noticed that BCTS is slow to completely load at times. Oh, it eventually does, but I just noticed the change. No complaint really. Are there current issues in the air or is it just this infestation of Ohio fall bugs. It reminds me of stories I have heard about Midges.

Much peace

Not sure what it is

erin's picture

I've noticed some occasional slow downs lately but most of the time it is just as fast as ever. Most of the time, I blame slowdowns on local connections rather than the servers. I know Roadrunner, my ISP, is trying to upgrade their equipment here and are constantly switching things around.

Hugs,
Erin

Tweaking the server again

I've just completed some tweaking of the server again so I hope the minor changes will help to handle the load better. I'm always amazed at how much the site and the number of users it gets has grown.

Thank you both.

I don't know if you actually understand the gravity of what you do for others.

There is a group in Portland called; "Write Around Portland", and they think so much of writing as a cathartic that they have lots of groups around. I was with them for a while, and they sure helped me.

I see this site as a way not only for new writers to develop, but also for others to vent and have some sense of community. There are writers who are in prison, and overseas, far from home. One never knows what situation the other person is in and maybe it is better that way.

Thank you.
