Wow.

Friday afternoon, I went out dressed in the daylight for the first time in my local town. No, I didn't pass, I never expected to but at least I could stroll around the shops and check out all the clothes without appearing perverted or sinister.
New Look, Next, Brantano, TK Max, Boots then on to Cardiff prior to our dinner out.
Yes people did look, and several did whisper but most just smiled and went about their own occasions.
I was out with my best friend, another Transvestite girl who goes everywhere with me.
I bought a beautiful purple sequined figure-hugging dress and went out in it that night. Totally unsuitable for a woman of my age but then I'm an 'over the top' semi transexual transvestite with real boobs. The ladies in the shop were amazed and delighted when I purchased the frock and demanded that I gave them a twirl after trying it on. I gave them a brief view then promised them I'd return later fully 'dressed' after changing in the Transit Van. (The now locally celebrated 'Tranny Van'.) well known to all my TV & TS friends.
Then dinner with twenty other T Girls at Ty Rosa in Cardiff before a wild night of clubbing. carried on Dancing until 6 am.
It was also Mandy's first ever daylight shopping expedition so all in all we had a fabulous day from 2 pm until 7 am Saturday/Sunday.

Few piccies of the event.

Mandy and me at the party, me in my new purple, sequined dress. I actually went out in that dress!!!.

Close up of a tranny who doesn't even try to pass.

The shoulder straps are my new purple frock. Totally unsuitable. (Ram dressed as lamb ... as opposed to mutton dressed as lamb.)
Do I care though? Not any more.

An excellent post

Hiya beverly,
Lovely to read your post, have read so many 'first time out in daylight shopping' posts recently from friends whom previously have only been comfortable out after dark and to be honest, it takes as much courage to go and do as it does the first time out at night.

One observation I have consistently found is that as long as you are not excessively inappropriately dressed and presented, most people don't actually care or notice and if they do, they keep any observations to themselves. Its not so much about this mythical 'passing' that people tend to aspire to, it is more blending in, I find. It also helps with the budget too as trying out clothes in shops is far cheaper than internet purchases in terms of getting a suitable cut / fit.

Anyhow, well done you, hope its the first of many. I know several girls that only go out at night during what is known as 'tranny season' (October - March - when the nights are longer), which is such a shame.

daylight

Oh that takes me back, walking round Manchester, in and out of shops, trying to blend in but noticing that a few do look. What the heck it was a great one for the memory store.
I hope you enjoy many more days and nights out.

PS are you aware there are a couple in Manchester who have a similiar nickname because they also use the ubiquitous transit van

Tranny vans

Are the business. Lots of room to store clothes, room to change and even surprise your tranny friends by doing a quick change when out shopping or better still when out clubbing.
Both Mandy and I were the first use the space in the van to do a quick change. Brilliant tactic and it created a lot of envy amongst our tranny gang. The best part is that several of us now use the van to change after the night out and before arriving home so as not to upset the neighbours because they are not 'out' yet. These friends used to be confined to the 'Tranny season' however the 'Tranny Van' circumvents the issues. Now the van looks like the changing room at the Follies Bejere on some Friday nights.

These are how the nights end up.

The gangs all here. well about one third of them.

Bloody brilliant!!!

And believe me we are growing old disgracefully!!!
