I never fail to be amazed how someone could want to archive anything I wrote unless they were doing some sort of study on compulsions or classic lunacy. That someone could keep it up to date--it does involve a lot of effort--then create a map site and keep that up to date as well--I'm absolutely staggered. I'm also grateful although my thanks seem somewhat inadequate in comparison.

Thanks to PS and Ben for doing this, I know many readers find it an easier way to read such a long saga, so on their behalf, I thank you also.

If you haven't visited the site please do so. If you haven't read any of Bike(Easy as falling off a bike) beware, reading it is addictive - it isn't high literature, but it's very readable if a little rambling at times, interspersed with action, high drama, emotion and the secret ingredient - I can't disclose it can I, it wouldn't be a secret then! In short it has everything but an ending and apparently runs to 1.85 million words.

I challenge you to read the first slice of episodes (1-50)without wanting to go on beyond that- if you do there's a few more after that - enjoy.

I held off for various reasons, but once I started, I couldn't put it down. Now there's an anachronistic metaphor, if metaphor is the correct word. I guess one could put it down if they were reading from a lap top or one of those devices that I will never buy. It took me about a week to get through about 1,300,000 words.

It felt nearly as big as ...

It felt nearly as big as Daivd Weber's, "Honor Harrington series" and sometimes I'd like to see Cathy and Honor in a mud wrestling contest. :)

War and Peace

Pales in comparison, that secret ingredient is a cliffhanger at every turn of the page. Somehow the archives ruin the cliffhanger experience though, maybe there should be a password required to unlock and go to the next chapter, make them wait 24 hours? Why shouldn't they suffer like the rest of us faithful readers? What say the other three of you?

To unlock future stories there should be a donation to BCTS (I say smuggly, as I make a monthly donation.)

I think I'll wait for the movie

I think I'll wait for the movie
Just not enough TS themed movies, ones that I'd want to watch.
This would make a good comedy/drama/action/adventure/romance/sci-fi/thriller wouldn't it?

A sad bunny

When ‘bike’ first started, I knew it was a good story. I expected it to last a few episodes and thought that if I kept a printed copy, I could reread it at my leisure.

I am now uncertain if I am a sad bunny or a total loony, perhaps both, as I still have a printed copy, which now stands at 27 inches in height and weighs over five stone.

Before the men in white coats come and take me away, let me say the story is as addictive as ever and I understand why PS and Ben set up the archive

Love to all

Paper bike

You could get ring binders and fill a few book shelves to hide your paper bike :)

Disclaimer

The archive was originally set up by Holly H. Hart, then taken over by PS. I've had absolutely nothing to do with it.

My contribution to the insanity was creating the summary spreadsheet, which currently stops at 1281 because I went on a break for about a week then, and found myself too occupied with other stuff to catch up. Evidently PS was as well. I now wince when I think of it as it gets ever closer to 100 episodes out of date.

So if anyone happens to be reading the 1280s or beyond, please either update the spreadsheet yourself with a summary of the episode you've just read, or collate a bunch of summaries and email them to PS or I.
