Thank you all that have read Part Eight of Assassin, the first post. Imagine my surprise when I returned home to the bay area from Los Angeles to find the second and third parts of the story already edited by Holly. She must have worked without sleep over Christmas. Needless to say I will be posting them, number two in a day or two and the third after the reads go down on part two. These are the last parts of the story and it will be complete. Thank you for the kind words you've all written as comments about the story. It's been almost two years since I put the first word on my computer and had little time for anything else other than a slight detour when I wrote I'll be Home for Christmas. It was a needed diversion. I'm not sure what I'll do now, probably finish Twisted which I've put off much to long. Have a happy New Year, and remember to behave, Arecee

Oh, ALL of us behave. It's just that some behave BADLY... *cackles*

I have really enjoyed your Assassin series from the beginning, and I'm glad to see Ashley maturing and developing as a fulfilled woman, as well as becoming savvy to how she's being used by "Dave" and friends and ways to get out from under their thumb safely and maybe stop them. I'm glad she's also learning to overcome the anger and desire to kill, although she needs to learn there are times to kill, especially if she's going to stay in that profession. Letting that guy in Angola live was a mistake and the bad guys know her legal identity now, and while I'm sure she can take whatever they throw at her (they have no idea yet what she's capable of and so will underestimate her, at least for a while), they can use that to track down her parents...

I guess this should have been in the comments section of the story itself. Sorry. I did squeeze in time to read the latest part and enjoyed it. I'm still recovering from the smorgasbord at my sister's, though.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
