22 to 12.

That's not a sports score, that's how much my testosterone has dropped in the last 3 months. With them doubling my dosage of estrogen, they hope to bring that number down to 2 by my next check up in March.

Hi Dot,

Third try:

The drop sounds pretty good and doubling of estrogen sounds even better! Are you feeling split pea sized lumps under your nipples yet?

Are you saying you are not on a T blocker?

Do you know the units of your T test? I just wrote what I thought were T ranges, then looked it up and my numbers were about 300* too high.(?) This is from a lab test site:

Males:
20-49 yrs . . . . . 0.95-4.30 ng/dL units are nanograms per deciliter.
> or = 50 yrs . . . 0.80-3.50 ng/dL

Females:

Ovulating . . . . Up to 0.38 ng/dL
Postmenopausal . . Up to 0.18 ng/dL

I'm still confused, but the above numbers are Free Testosterone. Here are ranges from another site; very similar to my numbers in the first iteration of this comment:

* Male: 300 -1,200 ng/dL
* Female: 30 - 95 ng/dL

Note: ng/dL = nanograms per deciliter

I am on a t-blocker as well, Renee

the endo doc didnt mention any other numbers except the t level, and thats what he told me, that in the 3 months since I had seen him, my number has dropped from 22 down to 12, with 2 being the goal. What that means in real terms, I'm not sure, except it sounds like I'm going in the right direction.

Yes, Yes!

I'm happy for you! My interest in numbers doesn't mean anything to your transition; I'm just being a nerd. 8)

Don't assume 2 will stay 2

My total testosterone fluctuates wildly. My dosages have to be changed.

when my T* was measured below 4 (female normal) I was so happy...

A year later when my blood was checked as part of a routine follow up... even though I was taking the drugs religiously my T* had returned to 13. My T* was never 22... I was being treated for low hypothalamus which means low everything it regulates.

So just don't assume because you've stomped it down to less than 4... it might not stay there.
