Sometime in the last three days, BCTS passed a milestone; there are now more than 20,000 stories, chapters and episodes of TG fiction in our archive!

Congratulations to everyone!

Hugs to all,

BC vs FM

True, they have about the same number of stories, but I much prefer BC over FM. FM to me has to much forced femminiazation stories, and forced sex, etc. for the person crossdressed. FM may be a site that tells a truer story, but I like the easy going, basically good reading stories that are found here. Everything I consider enjoyable reading on FM is also found here.

The above is just an opinion. Your milage may vary.

Just my one cent worth (recession, you know)

Different audiences

While there is some overlap between the two sites (indeed, some BCTS stories have been cross-posted to FM), it has often struck me from browsing the titles / synopses of stories at FM that it concentrates more on the fetish subgenres (including a hefty dose of FF); whereas BCTS tends to cover more mainstream genres. Even without necessarily entering FF territory, the typical FM story treats transformees as less than equal, whereas the typical BCTS story treats them as equals, or (in some cases) more than equals (e.g. BLH in Bike, one-woman industrial revolution in SEE). FM has Theory X managers, BCTS has Theory Y.

Anyway, congratulations to everyone who's contributed to the 20,000 - from the superstars contributing up to 8.8% of the total to the one hit wonders and everyone in between!

A New Milestone

Congratulations!

You've done a marvelous job developing and maintaining this site. You have earned this milestone.

Yes, but you made a good effort!

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

Bike

But, Bike, in my opinion, is the very best of them.
Please keep going with it.

congrats

But you have written around 10% of them ....

Well done Erin.

An excellent achievment Erin. All the BCTS authors deserve a pat on the back though one deserves something special. Perhaps a new bicycle.

Thanks.

20,000 stories...

And nothing to read... :)

This was too good to pass over especially as there are alot of stories I like reading here. Grats on the 20k.

edit to add that yes, Comedians are not in danger of loosing their jobs to me...

Percentage of bike

lets see 1779 bikes divided by 20000 stories 8.9 percent bike.

Poor thing is, the only thing i've read on bike are a few comments. It seems way to long to start and since it is ongoing, there is no way to catch up.

I think I got 220 stories up so I have a percentage point myself.

The important thing to remember though is that the next great story is a post away, so I hope people don't get stingy and keep it to themselves.

I've written

Angharad's picture

one or two other things as well as Bike, so my percentage is closer to 10.

Angharad

anghard

But that wasn't the question, was it? The question asked solely about Bike, which I have on good account is written by 2 cats that share your internet.

20000 stories?

Extravagance's picture

My stake of that would be 0.065%, even though I haven't actually written any! ;D
The first person to tell me how this is possible gets a prize! = D

By the way... If we calculated the percentage scores based on WORD count instead of CHAPTER count, would Angharad still be at the top?
(The average episode of EAFOAB is actually pretty short, about 2.5M total words in 1780 or so chapters?)
Just speculating. = )
