Bet you thought I'd crawled into a hole or something. In truth, it was all Star Wars fault. I never realized how engrossing MMORPGS could be but now I'm back. I just finished writing Ch. 2 of I Bump Back and hope to have it posted within the day. I just thought I'd drop a line here to let everyone know that I haven't abandoned my writing duties lol.

YOU LIVE!

Like I could complain about someone being distracted by games.

(You play Borderlands 2? My cuz got it for me, and the new Siren is WICKED.)

Melanie E.

Dont get me started on how awsome....

The Sirens are. If you know how ot use them, they can be some of the best in the game. ;P

I don't have 2 yet, but I'm working on that. I have, however, played in a bunch at a friend's house and I do have 1. Now I just need to get Xbox Live.

Peace be with you and Blessed be

PC

I played through the first on 360 before I sold the system and all my games to help fund my PC. The PC version of the original is so BUGGY, though, I can't even make it out of Firestone without horrific slowdown and crashes :(

Currently in B2 I have a level 25 Siren and a level 6 Mechy. I'm mostly a solo player, so I'm loving the Siren's health regen abilities, and the Mechromancer's ability seems like it'll be a good equalizer later in the game.

But, yes, the Borderlands games are one of my favorite series ever, right up there with Rock Band/Guitar Hero and the Final Fantasy games.

MMORPGS are addictive

Beverly Colleen's picture

As I am well aware they are quite addictive. I have had my head buried in RIFT for the last couple of years myself. Depending on what you get out of them when you are playing, whether socializing, simple character development and lore, player housing and building, world exploration and discoveries or whatever your MMORPG offers they all can easily draw you into their realms especially with most being offered with F2P business styles now giving easier access to more people.

MMORPG

Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.

I played a lot of Ultima Online myself back in the day but never moved on to newer games.

Yeah, they are terribly

Yeah, they are terribly addicting. And to think it was the one type of game I wouldn't get addicted too. I couldn't have been more wrong.

Oh Dear

I have contributed to Star Wars, and Rifts, Sorry to be adding to your addictions, but I too fill my many waking hours with those games I have met so very nice people while playing though. It is rather fun even WoW has had some intrest for me. But I play and test Star Wars the most

Goddess Bless you

Considering that I was on the

Considering that I was on the beta for Star Wars The Old Republic for some time, I also know how addicting MMOs can be. I need to get back into TOR, but I've been playing at Neverwinter a bit with some friends when I have free time.

Good to see you back though. :)

Lord of the rings online. Love the movies, read most of the book (very very dry at times) and it may be simple, but the crafting is better and easier then in EQ2. My computer wont handle Star Wars old republic, or I'd play that.

Yeah

I thought that you retired or maybe your muse was in jail so I am glad that you are back hoping your muse has a good run of stories . We missed you , you did spoil us with posting everyday.
happy days are hear again :-) Richie2

I used to be very into WoW ...

... I had my own Horde guild on Ravencrest called Kindred, and for a while it was wonderful. I had lots of friends online with me, we quested together, I helped them get through difficult instances, and we just talked while we played. I had wanted to build an online family there, and I did ... for a time.

Then the lure of raiding began to pull everyone into other guilds. I had wanted to build a family, not an army, and planning and executing huge campaigns wasn't as interesting to me as being with friends. So Kindred is a shadow now ... a guild of one, basically. And I'm suspending my membership indefinitely, because it IS a time suck and I can't find enough time to do my writing as it is.

i do miss it though. *sigh* Maybe someday ...

Dying and Living in Dust 514 since the days of the beta. With a very small break as a Femshep from Mass Effect Trilogy.

Fem Shep

I love Fem Shep. Jennifer Hale also does the voice of the Female Trooper in The Old Republic so its a big win win for me there :)

STO and TOR

Drakira's picture

Star Trek Online and The Old Republic chew me up and spit me back out. Although, I play more STO than TOR. Especially with their latest release: Legacy of Romulus. Romulan characters! Woot!

Glad you're back!

I completely understand about getting lost in mmo's for months at a time.
