Lately I've been working on a group project with a few of our other authors/authoresses here, and one of them has been asking me about something I used to do....

See, many many moons ago, I posted multiple forum entries containing a year's worth of story challenges at a time: one for each week, one for each month. This person has expressed that they found these challenges a lot of fun, and would love to see me produce something like that again.

So, here's my question: would anyone ELSE like to see a new edition of my Ultimate Writer's Challenge?

The lists aren't always the easiest things to come up with. I've tried a couple times in the last few years to work up a new one, and haven't had a great deal of success. That said, I'm willing to give it a shot for 2021 if people are interested. I've already got a brand new list started, even, just in case the answer is 'yes!'

Oh, and for anyone who missed the old ones!

Love the idea!

Anything that could possible spur someones muse is a project I can stand behind wholeheartedly! I love these types of challenges and contests and have tried to enter as many as i could in the past.

We the willing, led by the unsure. Have been doing so much with so little for so long,
We are now qualified to do anything with nothing.

Sounds

Like an interesting idea. I`m game.

An interesting idea

Now that my Creative Writing class is ending until mid Jan, I'm game. For the class we had to produce a 300 word story each week. Fitting something into that sort of length is a challenge (ok, so 300 words could be stretched to 320 or so) when you are writing longer or very long pieces.
What I'm saying is that a 'Flash Fiction' Challenge of say 500 words would be good and would not involve a huge commitment from an author.

How short are we talking?

I am always up for a challenge..
Having a quick look at the 2014 challenge, how small will the lead in be? I would like to see a scenario a little more defined to see how well people make it work, and to contrast styles and directions.
Over on FM I have been criticized for my "Cap extensions" as being unworthy, but these are challenges I set myself. Usually they run to around 600-800 words. My recent "Christian Feminization" series is an example.
I think that images are a great way trigger inspiration, but if you want some help with ideas, let me know.
And how many weeks or months will this run for?

Count me in

I like a challenge like most writers here. We just need a prompt.
