Wow! I didn't know they were making invisible turn signals, but apparently, they are! Wow!

It seems every time I go for a drive, people are using invisible turn signals. What a cool invention!

Invisible?

They’re not invisible they’ve packed up cause they’ve run out of indicator fluid ........ rofl

Local laws

I'm convinced that in Hillsboro, Oregon the city code must state that only every other car must signal a turn. It seems to me that when I'm in a left turn lane it's the odd numbered cars that have a turn signal on. So if the car in front of me is signaling, I guess I'm not required to do so.

But you know, I'm not one hundred percent sure, so I signal anyway,

Driver's mindset

I think that they all have the attitude that they know where they are going and that they do not need to tell the rest of us.

I think they've been around

I think they've been around for a while now. I had my motorcycle accident when someone used an invisible turn signal. I don't remember much between the moment he cut in front of me and when I woke up with major road rash and my leg impaled so maybe that was how he managed to explain it away without any trouble to show for it. Me, I got a totaled bike, a scar that makes bikini's a nono and a good amount of PTSD, but I'm just sooo glad that he was okay and not traumatized or something. Y'know because he wasn't at all at fault.

One of my best friends just had to have his leg amputated because of a motorcycle accident 25 years ago. Not fun at all!

It was probably a minor miracle that things weren't a lot worse for me. I haven't been able to ride a motorbike or even drive a car since, I still get bad flashbacks once in a while, and the piece of metal they took out of my leg was deep enough that I could see the bone but I got to keep my leg and I don't even have a limp so it didn't hit anything too vital I guess. Not all of us are that lucky.

There is

There is a secret device. It's hidden behind the wheel. Not everyone knows about it. Most don't. Do you know? Then you are one of the privileged – the enlightened.

For what it's worth,

There is one light here on a curve that half the time the signal cancels itself. Annoying AF [rackumfrackum]

They aren't invisible

they are just flashing on another car. The one I just followed for twenty miles before he turned. I wonder why I didn't back off until his brake lights came on? Left turn lane, I signal for the lane change but don't worry if it goes out from that. Being in the turn only lane should be enough.

Florida

In Florida there is a system that is new regardless how old the vehicle, the turn signals. Hardly anyone uses one and some think brake lights should be adequate warning that they are going to do something. Passing maneuvers are also exempt of any kind of signal.

Lane changes

The only time I have seen a turn signal lately is when someone wants to change lanes, right before they cut me off and force me to put on my brakes.

ROFL

In some countries, a left turn signal left on continuously is a sign that the car wants to overtake you.
I've followed a car over 100miles on an Italian Motorway with its signal going all the time. It was only turned off when the car left the motorway.
That car flashed and honked at any vehicle that didn't get out of its way despite the turn signal being on.
Most vehicles got out of the way but some didn't. They got tailgated and I mean tailgated.
