This consists of the Milky Way Galaxy that we are familiar with but with planets and star systems revealed to be a part of it that we never suspected were there. The world we know is quarantined from contact with the more advanced space faring worlds. Part of the reason for the quarantine is the Van Allen belt which disrupts standard starship engines. This accounts for alien sightings since they are all crash survivors since few would volunteer for a one way trip.
